Hubner Seed was founded by father and son team Robert L. Hubner Sr. and Robert L. Hubner Jr. in 1972. Together they formed a seed company to produce the best seed at a reasonable price. And over nine years of growth, the team increased its production from 80 acres to 900 acres.

Then in 2007, Hubner Seed Co., Inc. was purchased by American Seeds LLC (Monsanto) to further expand its Eastern presence. Building on the foundation of the Hubner brand, we continue to deliver superior quality seed, build great relationships and develop local products to increase profitability of our customers and their communities.

In 2013, we launched our Field FitSM program and began investing heavily to advance our products. This allowed us to select products that fit specific regions and create programs that continue to have an impact in the East.
